Oil on canvas, 500 mm x 400 mm Limited palette often helps me to focus on the vision I wish to create instead of what I see. There is a similar sensation to the charcoal work…It is very intriguing and definitely has more potentials for development.

Morning welcomes an interesting chapter to our daily lives. The gleam of sun rays remind us physically and emotionally that it is the start of the day. Some of us will immediately embrace the sunlight without a doubt as it is all about a new start, a new challenge, and a new possibility. Some of us, however, will choose not to rush into the day but rather keep the mind blank, enjoying the peace and tranquility of the moment itself. Some of us are not yet ready to say goodbye to the sweet dreams, but choose to luxuriate in bed, stretching, yawning and lazing around until we fully come into consciousness……last night does not matter anymore, regardless of the lack of achievement at work, or a pile of meaningless conference calls in the past 24 hours, or the heavy hang-over and the associated “fun” with no clue how it started and ended, or the wonderful sex with “not-the-mr-right”, or perhaps the regular anxiety of “why I am single”, and so on and so on. Instead, some of us will say to ourselves “It is going to be fine, as it is a brand-new day!”
