Another trial to mimmick Rembrant. The journey will continue to be long and hard. I thought I had a better idea of the process after several studies on techniques, but when it came to implementation, it was very much opposite to my second nature. I constantly reminded myself of what matters and what does not, while endeavouring to capture the colour, the light and the proportion. More dilemmas, more struggles. Soon, one painting took three times longer than before.

The result was not successful, but I guess I know myself better than yesterday. That was rewarding in its own nature.
